Frequently Asked Questions

The wind may change, but our answers stay steady

Bareboat Charter

A bareboat charter means you rent the yacht without a skipper or crew. You sail it yourself or hire a professional skipper separately.

Prices vary by boat type, season, and destination. Check our website for current offers or subscribe to our newsletter for exclusive deals.

No age or child restrictions apply for bareboat charters.

We insure the yacht with first-class coverage, including third-party liability. However, we strongly recommend personal travel insurance that covers sailing.

  • Security Deposit: Fully refundable if no damage occurs
  • Damage Waiver: Non-refundable fee with a reduced deposit

We accept credit/debit cards and bank transfers.

Once you pay your deposit or full balance, you confirm agreement to our terms and conditions.

Yes, we can hold a yacht for a few days if your trip is more than 8 weeks away.

You can check fleet availability online. Contact us if you need help choosing a boat or want to add a skipper.

Most charters in the Mediterranean run Saturday to Saturday, especially in peak season. Shorter trips are possible, often at a premium.

Before departure, our team will walk you through:

  • Safety equipment
  • Engine checks & electronics
  • Navigation tools & charts
  • Dinghy, anchor, sails & rigging
  • Boat systems (galley, toilets, radio, etc.)

In many destinations, a sailing resume is sufficient.

Take your original certificate and check requirements with us before booking.

Local supermarkets and markets are usually nearby. In some locations, we offer provisioning services or supermarket delivery. Contact us for details.

Skippered & Crewed Charters

If you’re not a qualified sailor, a skipper will take care of everything: navigation, safety, and planning. They also serve as your local guide.

All skippers are licensed professionals with local knowledge. Friendly, discreet, and experienced, they know the best bays, towns, and restaurants.

You rent the boat, and we provide a professional skipper to handle it. You’ll need to reserve a cabin for them and cover their meals during your trip.

Yes, the skipper stays on board but respects your privacy. They’re social when invited and discreet when you need space. Many guests become friends by week’s end!

  • Hostess: Prepares breakfast/light lunch, tidies up, shops, and helps onboard
  • Cook: Prepares 3 full meals daily and handles the galley
If you want a hands-free vacation, it’s worth considering.

You bring your own food, but we can help organize delivery or pre-provisioning. We recommend stocking up before departure. Island shops may have limited options.

A cabin must be reserved for the skipper. Hostesses/cooks may use a forepeak cabin when available. Ask us about alternative yacht layouts if needed.

Yes, all our skippers are fully insured and responsible for safe vessel operation. You’re only liable for personal damage within your security deposit limit.

You can:

  • Share your meals onboard
  • Invite them to dinner ashore
  • Or give a meal allowance (~€28–40/day) — your choice!
